Impact/AI

Impact is a time dedicated to teaching students both direct lessons and integrations of serving others or leading within the school or community. Both 7th and 8th grade teachers will follow direct lessons in Impact Class. These lessons will be provided by the Teach Students to Lead Action Team. Students will fill out the Academic WIG in their Leadership Notebook. The Achieve Goals Action Team will provide teachers with information on how to track WIGS with students. All students at WMS will have a Leadership Notebook for the year. The Academic Action Team will send out information. Also, students will sign up for Academic Impact and tutoring during this time.

Students will:

• Learn about the 7 Habits, social-emotional learning, leadership skills, and collaboration skills. 
• Develop leadership skills through a common purpose that serves others in the school or community, moving from private victory to public victory. 
• Make connections with other students and the school community. 

Academic Impact is a time dedicated to reteaching students who apply for additional help on standards taught in class from September 11th through the end of the year.
